Dr. Fradlis's emergency training covers the range of problems that bring patients to walk-in care. Areas he focuses on include:

• Critical care and resuscitation — emergency-trained judgment for the small number of walk-in patients who turn out to be seriously unwell, and decisive escalation when that is what the presentation calls for.
• Procedural medicine — wound closure, splinting and immobilization, abscess drainage, and the bedside procedures that let a visit finish in one trip.
• Point-of-care ultrasound — a core skill from Dr. Fradlis's emergency medicine training, and part of how he reads a presentation clinically. Sage does not have ultrasound on site: X-ray and labs are in the building, and ultrasound, CT and MRI are referred to a partner imaging center.
• Pediatric urgent care — evaluating fevers, infections, and injuries in children with an emphasis on knowing when a child can be managed in the outpatient setting and when they need more.
• Musculoskeletal injuries and fracture care — assessment, on-site X-ray, splinting, and clear follow-up for sprains, breaks, and orthopedic complaints.
• Respiratory illness in adults and children — from influenza and bronchitis to the seasonal viruses that fill waiting rooms, with on-site testing when it changes management.
• Tick-borne disease — a common concern in the wooded New Jersey communities Sage serves, including Lyme exposure assessment.
• The full spectrum of medicine — the range to move between a routine sore throat, a fracture needing reduction, and a patient who needs an emergency department within the hour, without treating any of them as routine.
